Gotta agree with Nachalnik. Using another culture's sacred garments as a fashion accessory is not cute or fashionable, it's just ignorant.

I apologize for my rudeness. I realize I was pretty harsh. I'm a native girl and have been getting pretty angry at war bonnets being a huge fashion trend and used for artsy "native" themed photo-shoots of white girls. People "playing indian" is offensive to me because they rarely research the significance of the items they're wearing, or sometimes just don't care. Native American people are stereotyped as the "noble savage" and your photo brought that to my mind.
